Within GitHub Desktop, go to File > Clone Repository and Select "Beyond the End"
There is a large tab labelled "Current Branch" that probably says smth like "main". Click that and switch to "ChapterUpdate"
This branch ("ChapterUpdate") will be published when the chapter gets updated, let us know if for any reason you suspect it won't work.
From now on, if you open GitHub Desktop and it suggests you "Pull Changes", do that before you start editing.
Start editing.
You can open the files to edit in a code editor (Visual Studio Code, Notepad, Notepad++, Atom, idk there's a lot) by going to Repository > Open in...
You can open the folder to move files around (easier for adding images) by going Repository > Show in Explorer
Future chapters go in the "Future Chapters" folder in a folder with the relevant chapter number. These will not get sent to neocities when the updates get published so there's no way for people to access unpublished chapters from the website.
Images for the Gallery go in public > gallery
Images for comic go in public > img > comics
Save whatever code you edited (files added, moved, etc are saved automatically don't worry about those)
Put a comment in the summary box saying what you did (Added image, changed menu, added author's note, etc.)
Click "Commit to ChapterUpdate"
Click "Push to Origin"
From there, Marine will handle the rest - Yippee!!
Adding to Gallery
Make a jpg version of the image and scale it down to 1000px or less on all sides
Make a thumbnail preferrably 250px by 250px or bigger (not necessary but will look nicer)
Add these images to public > gallery
Go to public > gallery.html
There are comments (<!-- [year] -->) that tell you what section to put things in
Copy the code <a href="[imageName]" data-ngthumb="[thumbnail]" data-ngtags="[Year Style Character]"></a> and replace the things in [] with the file names or tags you want

Tagging Guide
"Illustration" = Typically anything of print quality
"Scribbly" = Loose lines and not rendered
"Standard" = About the same quality as the average comic panel with or without background OR when in doubt, put it as standard
